A hotel with a pool is more than a luxury on Lake Garda. In April the lake is at about 13 to 14 degrees, in May around 16 to 17, and only from June above 20. If you travel in spring or autumn, you will realistically swim in the hotel pool rather than the lake.

Where to find the most pool hotels
In the south and east (Bardolino, Lazise, Peschiera, Sirmione) there is room for gardens and big pools. On the north shore and in Limone there is less space: pool hotels are rarer and usually pricier, but often come with mountain and lake views.
Set the filters in the right order: do not search for “Lake Garda with pool”. Pick the town first, then apply the “swimming pool” filter. That way you will not end up inland, 15 kilometres from the shore.

Some are, many are not. Heated pools are usually stated in the hotel description, and if in doubt, ask, especially for April, May and October.

Usually from May to September or October. Indoor pools in larger hotels are the main option for year-round use.
